Printmaking
The process for printmaking involves drawing out the design on my iPad (typically in Procreate), or on paper. The reverse of this image gets traced onto a block with graphite (materials range from linoleum, rubber, to wood). Once the design in on the block and outlined with marker to make the lines visible, gouges are used to carve away material from the block leaving a raised surface that. Ink is rolled out onto the block and paper is pressed onto it to transfer the final image. Each print has unique characteristics do to the hand made nature of this process.
